Sling Saver Construction

All Crosby web sling shackles in this collection are manufactured from alloy steel, providing a higher working load limit in a more compact shackle body. Each shackle is permanently marked with PIC, WLL, and Crosby identification for fast verification on the job.

These synthetic sling shackles feature a 5:1 design factor and meet or exceed ASME B30.26 requirements. They also satisfy additional critical performance standards not fully addressed by ASME B30.26, including fatigue life and material traceability.

Crosby Sling Saver shackles also meet the requirements of WSTDA-RS1 for minimum stock diameter or thickness and effective contact width.

Note: Crosby S-281 Sling Saver shackles should only be used with Type 3 Class 7 2-ply web slings. For webbing that is 3 inches wide or wider, a tapered eye is required.
