Crosby® Fist Grip® Wire Rope Clips
Crosby® Fist Grip® wire rope clips are designed to simplify wire rope installations while delivering the strength and reliability required for demanding rigging applications. Unlike conventional U-bolt clips, the Fist Grip® design uses two forged saddles with heavy hex nuts, allowing full wrench rotation during installation for faster assembly and easier retightening in the field.
Each clip is manufactured with forged steel saddles and a hot-dip galvanized finish to provide outstanding durability and corrosion resistance in outdoor and industrial environments. This design also eliminates concerns about saddle orientation, making installation more straightforward than traditional wire rope clips.
Engineered for Performance
Crosby® Fist Grip® clips provide an efficiency rating of 80% for wire rope sizes from 3/16 inch through 7/8 inch and 90% for sizes from 1 inch through 1-1/2 inches. Every size meets or exceeds the requirements of ASME B30.26 for identification, proof loading, ductility, design factor, and temperature performance while also satisfying additional Crosby® standards for fatigue resistance, impact performance, and material traceability.
Each clip is permanently marked with the Crosby® Product Identification Code (PIC), manufacturer identification, and wire rope size for simplified inspection and verification throughout its service life.
Note: Wire rope clips are intended for wire rope terminations and are not designed for overhead lifting applications.
