Polyester eye and eye round slings are one of the most practical rigging tools you can keep on a jobsite. They're lightweight, easy to handle, and priced to keep multi-sling projects on budget. Because both eyes work with vertical, basket, and choker hitches, one sling covers more lifting situations without swapping gear mid-job. A protective outer jacket shields the load-bearing core from wear, and every sling ships with a tag showing capacity ratings, serial number, and other details you'll want on hand for safety checks.
Why Eye & Eye Polyester Round Slings?
Polyester webbing only stretches 3 to 5 percent at rated capacity, which gives it a real edge over nylon whenever headroom is limited. That lower stretch also means less risk of the sling locking up under load, so it holds the piece more predictably from start to finish.
Beyond stretch resistance, polyester brings a few other advantages to the job:
- Resistant to most chemicals, with the exception of concentrated acids and bleaches
- Rated for use in temperatures up to 194 degrees Fahrenheit
- Built to meet or exceed ASME B30.26, WSTDA RS-1, and OSHA standards, with a tag confirming capacity, serial number, and other required details
Capacity Chart: Match the Sling to the Lift
Hitch type changes how much weight a sling can safely carry, so the same sling carries a different rating depending on whether it's rigged vertical, choker, or basket. Basket capacity also shifts with sling angle: the tighter the angle, the lower the rated capacity. Use the chart below to find the body diameter and capacity that fits your load before you order.

Proof Testing Certificates Are Available
If your project calls for documented proof of load testing, ask about a proof testing certificate when you place your order. Slings are pull tested at the factory to twice their rated vertical capacity, with results officially recorded for governing bodies. Because testing happens on a random sampling basis during production rather than on every individual unit, certificates need to be requested at the time of order, not after the fact.
Complete the Rigging Setup
A round sling rarely does the job alone. Depending on the lift, you may also want:
- Endless polyester round slings: built to the same capacities for jobs where a continuous loop fits the rigging better
- High performance round slings: a similar design rated for higher capacities
- Shackles: to connect the sling to the load or the lifting point
- Sling protection: to guard the webbing from sharp edges and abrasion during the lift
