Made in the USA from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this 3/4" galvanized wire rope features a durable 6x26 construction and an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) for superior strength, abrasion resistance, and load stability. Designed for demanding outdoor lifting, hoisting, winching, and rigging applications, it provides dependable performance in environments where corrosion resistance is critical.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer identification or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.
USA-Made Galvanized Wire Rope for Hoisting, Winching & Outdoor Rigging
The 6x19 class construction is well known for its ability to withstand surface wear while maintaining moderate flexibility, making it ideal for use with sheaves, drums, and other high-contact applications. The hot-dip drawn galvanized finish provides long-lasting corrosion protection without reducing rope strength, making it an excellent choice for outdoor and moisture-prone environments. Combined with an IWRC core for added crushing resistance and structural support, this wire rope is built to perform in demanding industrial applications.
6x19 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope, offering approximately 10% greater tensile strength than IPS-grade wire rope and improving overall break strength.
The class of this wire rope is 6x19. These numbers nominally refer to the construction of the wire rope: the number of outer strands around the core and an estimation of the number of wires within each strand. For a 6x19 class wire rope, there are 6 outer strands and approximately 15-26 wires per strand. The actual construction of this domestic rope is 6x26.
