Description

9,200 lbs. Snap Binder

Lever load binders are a go-to in the trucking and transportation industry, designed to tension transport chain and keep loads anchored securely to flatbeds and trailers.

Grade 70 / 80 / 100 Lever Binder Construction

This binder is built with a forged carbon steel body and handle for maximum durability. Forged steel delivers more strength than cast handles, standing up to higher forces without breaking and providing reliable leverage. It’s also designed with slightly larger threads than many competitor models, ensuring a heavy-duty hold.

Each end is fitted with forged grab hooks featuring shallow throats for quick, secure attachment to chain links. A scratch- and heat-resistant powder-coated finish, applied with an electrostatic process at 270°F, protects the binder against wear and the elements.

Why Choose a Lever Load Binder?

Lever binders use leverage instead of a ratcheting mechanism for tensioning. They’re valued for being faster to use and having fewer moving parts, which means less maintenance. The main drawback is snapback risk, as the handle stores kinetic energy. For an even safer alternative, consider a recoil-less lever binder.

Safety Note: Never use a cheater bar with lever binders. Doing so increases the risk of serious injury from snapback.

Lever Binder Industry Compliance

This 9,200 lbs. snap binder is FMCSA / DOT compliant and meets or exceeds WSTDA T-6 Recommended Standards. Working load limit and traceability codes are embossed directly on the handle and body, while the hooks are stamped with grade and size for quick identification during inspections.

⚠️Warning: Binders

Do not exceed the binder's working load limit.

Hand-tighten only; do not use a cheater bar.

Handle should be tightened at a downward angle.

Do not tighten or release the binder while you or anyone else is standing on the load.

Wrap the loose end of the chain around the handle and tightened chain for safety.

Do not close your hand around the binder.

Inspect binder prior to use for signs of wear. Do not use if damaged.

To ensure the load remains secure, check binders frequently.
