Trailer winch straps are some of the most common tie-down equipment for flatbeds and other trailers, and this 3" strap with a wire hook (also called a double J-hook) offers the same working load limit as a standard 4" winch strap in a lower-bulk package.
Key Features
- Rugged polyester webbing with very little stretch, resistant to abrasion, UV exposure, and water.
- Thicker yarn and more picks per inch than many competing straps, plus heat-sealed ends, for better resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting.
- Sized to fit a standard 4" winch.
- Wire hook (double J-hook) end hardware: stronger and more durable than a standard S-hook, with a protective zinc coating for corrosion resistance.
- Attaches easily to D-rings and other narrow or hard-to-reach anchor points where space is tight.
- Tagged and stenciled with its working load limit to document compliance with FMCSA, DOT, CVSA, and WSTDA guidelines, plus North American Cargo Securement standards.
- Custom lengths, colors, and hardware also available.

Winch Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
