The Simpson Strong-Tie BVLZ Brick Veneer Ledger Connector is engineered to safely attach a deck ledger to an existing home with a brick veneer exterior. Traditional deck ledger connections are not designed to bear against brick veneer alone. The BVLZ transfers deck loads past the veneer and into the structural framing of the home, helping create a code-compliant, structurally sound deck attachment.
Fabricated with a durable ZMAX galvanized coating for exterior environments, the BVLZ is designed for long-term corrosion resistance in deck applications. This system utilizes two 14" Strong-Drive SDWH Timber-Hex HDG tension screws and six Strong-Drive SD Connector shear screws to create a secure connection that resists both vertical and lateral loads.
