Specifications
For a lighter-duty version of the Peerless QuikBinder Plus setup, this kit pairs the same tamper-resistant ratchet binder with 5/16" Grade 80 chain. It's a good fit where Grade 80's abrasion resistance is wanted but a 5/16" chain diameter is sufficient for the load.
Key Features
- Three-position QuikBinder Plus design: ratchet extension, ratchet take-up, and free spin for fast adjustment in either direction
- Folding handle keeps the binder mechanism clear of the load once tensioned
- Tamper-resistant binder body accepts a long-shank padlock (not included), letting you lock it in place and hang it when stored
- Grade 80 chain resists fatigue and abrasion better than Grade 70 chain under repeated use
- Corrosion-resistant black-painted chain finish
- Non-cradle clevis grab hooks fit through a flatbed trailer's rub rail for a quick, secure hookup
- Both chain and binder are manufactured to meet or exceed FMCSA (CFR49 Section 393.104), NACM, and WSTDA T-6 standards, with grade embossing on the chain and hooks and a traceability code on the binder
Applications
- Lighter cargo and equipment securement on flatbeds and open trailers
- Repeat tie-down jobs where the free-spin position saves time on hookup and takedown
- Situations calling for a tamper-resistant binder, such as trailers left unattended between stops
- Rounding out a tie-down system with corner protectors and other securement accessories
