Ultra NT SCIF Barrier from EcoFoil provides reliable RF shielding for secure rooms used to store or discuss sensitive compartmented information. Built with a woven polyethylene core laminated between two tear-resistant aluminum foil layers, this barrier helps prevent radio frequencies from entering or leaving controlled spaces. It is widely used in government, military, and corporate facilities requiring ICD 705 compliance.
Manufactured by Covertech, this material is also known as rFOIL® 1800 Ultra NT in many SCIF design specifications. The barrier is available in multiple roll sizes, and a perforated version is offered for applications where controlled airflow is required.
RF Shielding for Secure Facilities & Controlled Spaces
Ultra NT SCIF Barrier creates a dependable RF block when installed across walls, ceilings, and floors. By reducing the ability for signals to travel in or out, it supports the strict standards of modern secure environments such as data centers, command rooms, and classified communication areas. When seams are sealed with approved SCIF tape, the barrier also functions as a water vapor barrier.
Installation Options for SCIF Construction
This lightweight material installs quickly using two common methods. It can be stapled directly to exposed studs—followed by taping over staple punctures—or adhered to compatible surfaces using Spray-Lock Eco-Friendly Adhesive. Both approaches create a continuous shielding layer when properly sealed at all seams.
