Simpson Strong-Tie Moment Post Bases are a unique, innovative solution that resists rotational forces, while securely connecting the 4x4 post to concrete. Thanks to it's overlapping sleeve, the Moment Post Base is ideal for decks, fences, carports and other outdoor applications. The MPB also provides an internal 1" standoff to keep the wood member off the ground, keeping it clear of the ground to prevent decay of the post, while eliminating additional assembly and extra parts. All MPBZ post bases include the required Strong-Drive SDS connector screws needed for installation.
