Not every retrofit job happens somewhere dry and protected, and when moisture, coastal air, or a corrosive environment is part of the equation, the RFB Stainless Steel retrofit anchor bolt is built for it. Available in stainless options for standard and heightened corrosion resistance, it gives you the same reliable retrofit installation as the rest of the RFB line, straight into existing, cured concrete or masonry with a Simpson Strong-Tie anchoring adhesive, without the corrosion risk of a plated carbon steel rod. It ships precut, oil-free, and complete with nut and washer, with both ends stamped and color-coded so you can confirm which stainless option is in your hand before it goes in the wall. When the application calls for long-term corrosion performance, this is the retrofit bolt built to hold up.

Installation
Drill the anchor hole to the diameter and embedment depth called out in the current Simpson Strong-Tie adhesive anchoring documentation for your base material, then clean the hole thoroughly before installing. Inject the approved Simpson Strong-Tie anchoring adhesive and seat the RFB bolt to the specified embedment depth. The witness hole in the rod lets you confirm adhesive reached the top of the anchor before it cures. Once cured, add the washer and nut and torque to the connection's design requirements. Always confirm hole prep, adhesive selection, embedment, and edge/spacing distances against current manufacturer documentation, project specs, and local code before installing, and consult a qualified professional for engineered, seismic, or corrosive-environment applications.
