Specifications
Trailer winch straps are some of the most common tie-down equipment for flatbeds and other trailers, and this 4" heavy-duty strap with a flat hook is built to handle a wide range of cargo in combination with a standard 4" winch.
Key Features
- Rugged polyester webbing with very little stretch, resistant to abrasion, UV exposure, and water.
- Industrial-grade webbing: thicker than most competitors, with more picks per inch, plus heat-sealed ends for better resistance to abrasion, tearing, and cutting.
- Flat hook end hardware: wide contact area distributes tie-down force evenly, with a built-in defender to prevent webbing wear.
- Black powder coat finish on the hook adds corrosion resistance.
- Sized to fit a standard 4" winch.
- Tagged and stenciled with break strength and working load limit to document compliance with FMCSA, DOT, CVSA, and WSTDA guidelines, plus North American Cargo Securement standards.
- Available in multiple colors and pack sizes; custom lengths, colors, and hardware also available.
Applications
- Flatbed and dump trailers hauling a wide range of cargo with a standard 4" winch.
- Anchor points such as a rub rail or the edge of a truck or trailer, where a flat hook's wide contact area is the right fit.
- Fleets outfitting multiple trailers at once with a documented, compliance-tagged strap.
Winch Use Guidelines
According to the WSTDA (section 4.6.8): "When using web tie downs with a winch or ratchet, a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 wraps of webbing shall be wound on the winch or ratchet mandrel. Excessive wraps of webbing on the mandrel may reduce the working load limit (WLL) of the web tie down and may interfere with proper operation."
