Cable Laid Slings
Cable laid slings are made from 7x7x7 galvanized wire rope, seven strands of 7x7 cables, which gives them more flexibility and kink resistance than regular wire rope. Sometimes called aircraft cable, the rope has a narrow profile and bends easily, which suits applications where the rope has to flex. The galvanized finish protects against corrosion.

Construction and Features
- Rope: Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), which adds resistance to crushing so the sling holds its shape under heavy loads.
- Lubrication: the sling is lubricated for basic corrosion resistance.
- Turnback eyes: the rope bends back to form an eye, secured with a fitted swaged sleeve.
