Heavy-Duty Crosby Eye & Eye Turnbuckle Construction
Crosby HG-226 turnbuckles feature forged eye end fittings that are Quenched and Tempered® or normalized to improve strength and toughness. The elongated eye design allows for easier connection in tensioning systems while helping reduce stress at the eye. Modified UNJ threads add strength and precision, and on sizes 1/4" through 2-1/2", one size smaller shackles can be threaded through the eye for added versatility.
The turnbuckle bodies are heat-treated by normalizing and manufactured with UNC threads for dependable adjustment and secure performance. A hot-dip galvanized finish on all components helps protect against corrosion in outdoor and industrial environments.
Fatigue Rated for Repeated Loading Applications
Crosby HG-226 Eye & Eye Turnbuckles are Fatigue Rated®, making them an excellent choice for applications involving repeated loading and unloading. Each turnbuckle is tested to a minimum of 20,000 cycles at 1-1/2 times the Working Load Limit and meets Euronorm fatigue requirements.
- Proof Load: 2-1/2 times the Working Load Limit
- Ultimate Load: 5 times the Working Load Limit
Hot-Dip Galvanized for Corrosion Resistance
Every Crosby HG-226 turnbuckle includes a hot-dip galvanized finish for added corrosion resistance. This protective coating helps extend service life in marine, construction, utility, and general outdoor applications where exposure to moisture and harsh conditions is common.
