Crosby® G-411 Light-Duty Galvanized Wire Rope Thimbles
Crosby® G-411 light-duty wire rope thimbles are designed to protect the eye of a wire rope assembly in static and general-purpose applications. Their formed steel construction helps maintain the proper shape of the wire rope loop while reducing abrasion where the cable contacts hooks, shackles, and other rigging hardware.
Each thimble is finished with a hot-dip galvanized coating that provides long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion. During the galvanizing process, the steel is immersed in molten zinc, creating a tightly bonded protective layer that stands up to moisture, weather, and other outdoor conditions better than many alternative finishes.
The Crosby® G-411 meets the performance requirements of Federal Specification FF-T-276b Type II, except for those provisions required of the contractor.
