Crosby® closed heavy-duty wire rope thimbles are designed for demanding lifting and rigging applications where maximum durability and secure connections are essential. Manufactured from high-strength ductile iron, these thimbles provide excellent resistance to impact, fatigue, and repeated loading, making them a dependable choice for long-term service in industrial environments.

Unlike traditional cast iron, ductile iron features a nodular graphite structure that improves toughness and helps resist cracking under dynamic loads. The closed-eye design is engineered to accommodate pins used with open wire rope sockets, wedge sockets, and boom pendant clevises, making these thimbles well suited for heavy lifting systems and specialized rigging assemblies.

Finished in Crosby®'s signature red coating for quick identification, these heavy-duty thimbles are available in sizes to fit wire rope diameters ranging from 1/2 inch to 1-3/8 inches.
