Specifications
The Simpson Strong-Tie Deck-Drive™ DCU Composite Screw is engineered for strength, clean finishes, and reliable fastening in composite and PVC decking projects. Featuring a cap head that prevents mushrooming, these screws ensure smooth, professional results across a wide range of composite decking brands. The Quik Guard®–coated 305 stainless steel provides lasting corrosion resistance in everything from standard residential decks to harsh coastal environments.
Designed for efficiency, the DCU screw includes a tri-lobe thread design and unique cut point that penetrate dense composite material easily while reducing damage to boards. Inverted upper threads clear excess material for flush seating, while the 6-lobe drive provides secure engagement and reduces cam-out. The 2-3/8" length is approved by Trex® for composite decking applications and comes collated for use with Quik Drive® auto-feed systems, ideal for high-volume, professional installs.
