Choosing the Right D-Ring for Your Application

When choosing a D-ring, match it to your cargo weight and tie-down system. Per FMCSA CFR49 Sections 393.102–104, anchor points must be as strong as or stronger than the tie-downs they support. Confirm compatibility with your chains or ratchet straps before installation.

Installation Guidelines

This D-ring allows for both weld-on or bolt-on installation. For welding, use a qualified welder and apply a corrosion-resistant finish after installation. If bolting, ensure you bolt completely through the mounting surface and use fender washers and locking nuts or threadlocker for added strength. Break strength is dependent on installation method. Mounting hardware not included.
