3/8" 7x19 Galvanized Aircraft Cable
This 3/8" galvanized 7x19 aircraft cable is a versatile steel cable designed for applications that require flexibility, fatigue resistance, and corrosion protection. Commonly used for deck railing systems, pulleys, winches, gym equipment, and general-purpose rigging, the 7x19 construction utilizes smaller individual wires that allow the cable to bend more easily while maintaining excellent strength and durability.
Note: Despite the name, aircraft cable is not intended for aircraft use. Consult a qualified rigging professional before using this cable in critical overhead lifting applications.
Flexible Galvanized Cable for Railings, Pulleys & Winch Systems
The 7x19 construction provides greater flexibility than many traditional wire rope configurations, making it easier to handle and better suited for applications involving repeated bending. The hot-dip drawn galvanized finish offers superior corrosion resistance while maintaining the cable's original strength, making it an excellent choice for outdoor and high-moisture environments. Manufactured to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 requirements, this cable delivers dependable performance across a wide range of applications.
How Does Aircraft Cable Differ From Wire Rope?
Aircraft cable is generally available in diameters up to 3/8", while traditional wire rope is commonly manufactured in much larger diameters. The smaller strand construction of aircraft cable provides increased flexibility, making it ideal for pulleys, cable railing systems, and applications requiring frequent movement.
7x19 Aircraft Cable Configuration
Our aircraft cable is made using IPS-grade steel. IPS (Improved Plow Steel) is a dependable wire grade that provides excellent strength and durability for general-purpose cable applications.
The class of this cable is 7x19. In aircraft cable construction, these numbers represent the total number of strands, including the core strand, and an approximation of the number of wires within each strand. A 7x19 construction consists of seven strands, each containing approximately 15-26 individual wires, creating a flexible and fatigue-resistant cable.

Talk about a hassle free experience ordering some high quality cable, the last place i delt with seemed very detached from the customer and the process, but this was smooth as silk and very happy with the product.
This cable was an important part of a pulling assembly I made to install a new underground water line for my house.
It worked flawlessly and saved me $2800 dollars
In plumbers costs.
