Description

A workhorse of the trucking and trailering world, this 4" x 50' ratchet strap uses a geared take-up mechanism rather than hand tension alone, so you can cinch a load down firmly and evenly. It's finished with a heavy-duty chain extension that pairs the strength of transport chain with the softness of webbing at the anchor point. Sold as a 4-pack.

Key Features

  • Densely woven polyester webbing that stands up to abrasion, tearing, and everyday wear better than lighter-duty straps
  • Cleanly heat-sealed ends that stop fraying before it starts, extending the working life of the strap
  • Chain extension end hardware that lets you route around rub rails or stake pockets without putting wear on the webbing itself
  • Zinc-plated hardware that stands up to weather and everyday corrosion
  • Tagged and stenciled with break strength and working load limit information to support compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American cargo securement standards

Applications

  • Everyday towing and utility trailer use
  • Landscaping, construction, and job-site equipment transport
  • Flatbed and open-trailer freight hauling
  • Securing lumber, pipe, and other bundled materials

Installation

Wrap the fixed end around the anchor point and feed the free end through the ratchet mandrel, pulling out slack by hand before ratcheting. Tighten in small increments until the load is secure, then close and lock the ratchet handle. Confirm hooks are properly seated on rated anchor points, stay within the strap's working load limit, and re-check tension after the first few miles.
