The indented area of the strut channel nut fits directly onto the lips of the strut channel while the spring causes tension to hold the nut in place. Long Spring Channel nuts should be used with Like Metal Hardware. Electro-Galvanized Steel should be used in interior applications where conditions are dry, and humidity is low.
