Aluminum Stop
Aluminum wire rope stops, also known as button stops or cable stops, provide a simple and effective way to cap the ends of wire rope and cable assemblies. Swaged directly onto the cable, these fittings help prevent frayed wire strands, improve handling safety, and create a clean, finished appearance for wire rope installations.
Secure Cable Ends & Prevent Fraying
Wire rope stops are designed to seal the cut end of a wire rope, helping prevent individual wire strands from unraveling over time. By securing the cable end, button stops reduce the risk of sharp frayed wires that can cause handling injuries or interfere with equipment operation.
These stops are commonly used in cable assemblies, utility applications, signage, fencing, industrial equipment, and other projects where a finished cable end is desired.
Designed for Use with Galvanized Wire Rope
Aluminum stops are typically used alongside aluminum sleeves and galvanized wire rope assemblies. The lightweight aluminum construction allows for easy swaging while providing a secure attachment when installed with the appropriate compression tooling.
Important: Wire rope stops are intended only for sealing and finishing cable ends. They are not designed or rated for load-bearing applications and should never be used as a lifting, pulling, or anchoring attachment point.
