Description

A workhorse of the trucking and trailering world, this 4" x 30' ratchet strap in black uses a geared take-up mechanism rather than hand tension alone, so you can cinch a load down firmly and evenly. It's finished with a wide flat hook that distributes tension across rub rails and trailer edges. It carries a rated capacity of 24,000 lb. Sold as a 4-pack.

Key Features

  • Densely woven polyester webbing that stands up to abrasion, tearing, and everyday wear better than lighter-duty straps
  • Cleanly heat-sealed ends that stop fraying before it starts, extending the working life of the strap
  • Built-in defender at the hook to reduce webbing wear at the point of contact
  • Corrosion-resistant zinc-plated hardware built for outdoor and roadside use
  • Tagged and stenciled with break strength and working load limit information to support compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American cargo securement standards

Applications

  • Moving and general hauling with pickup trucks and trailers
  • Landscaping, construction, and job-site equipment transport
  • Flatbed and open-trailer freight hauling
  • Securing lumber, pipe, and other bundled materials

Installation

Route the fixed end of the strap around or through the anchor points on your load, then thread the loose end through the ratchet and take up the slack by hand. Crank the ratchet handle to bring the strap to a snug, even tension, then fold the handle down to lock it in place. Always follow the strap's tagged working load limit and any manufacturer instructions for your specific ratchet mechanism, and check tension periodically during transport.
