This M&W vertical plate clamp doesn't carry the minimum-load restriction most plate clamps do, so you can lift material anywhere along its rated capacity instead of needing the load close to the working load limit for a secure grip. The hinged lug lets you place and lift from any angle, and a full 180-degree turning range lets you flip a plate from vertical to horizontal or back without a second tool.
