Simpson Strong-Tie HUCQ hangers are the concealed flange version of the HU joist hanger. HUCQ heavy duty joist hangers include the necessary SDS screws required to fasten the hanger. Designed and tested for installation at the end of a beam or on a post, they provide a strong connection with fewer fasteners than nailed hangers. The Strong-Tie HUCQ210-3Z-SDS concealed flange hanger features a G90 Galvanized coating and requires the use of hot-dip galvanized fasteners which meet the specifications of ASTM A153. Designed and tested for installation at the end of a beam or on a post, they provide a strong connection with fewer fasteners than nailed hangers.

• Use all specified fasteners.
• HU/HUC—Can be installed filling round holes only, or filling round and triangle holes for maximum values.
• Joists sloped up to 1/4:12 achieve load tables.
• HU/HUC hangers can be welded to a steel member. Allowable loads are the lesser of the values in the hanger tables or the weld capacity - refer to technical bulletin T-HUHUC-W.
