Description

Simpson Strong-Tie DWP Flat Head Screws are built for strength, reliability, and clean finishes in decking, trim, and general exterior wood applications. Made from 305 stainless steel for maximum dependable outdoor corrosion resistance, these screws perform in harsh environments and with treated lumber. The flat head design allows the screw to countersink for a flush fit, providing a smooth, professional look.

With a Type-17 point, installation is quick and efficient without pre-drilling in most situations. A deep T25 star drive recess ensures secure bit engagement, minimizing cam-out and extending driver bit life.

Key Features:

  • 305 Stainless Steel – Long-lasting corrosion resistance for exterior use
  • T25 Star Drive – Secure engagement and reduced cam-out
  • Flat Head Design – Countersinks cleanly for a flush, professional finish
  • Type-17 Point – Self-tapping for quicker starts and minimal splitting

screws that don't work

bought these stainless screws to screw "down" 2x6 pt decking. they would lift the 2x6 and then not draw it tight to pt joist. I contacted your chat now and was told to back screw off, push down on board and tighten screw and board down. this sort of worked if I screwed it aprox 1/2" into 2x6, didn't like that fix. Prior to purchase I asked chat now if I should use 3 1/2" for the 2x6, was told 3" would be fine. To sum it up I wound up buying 3 1/2" deck screws (not ss) from lumber yard, these worked like a screw is supposed to and tightened the 2x6 to joist without any gymnastics. I still have the 10 lbs of useless screws.
