Made of very strong metal.

The original hooks that came with the pole were made of a lower quality metal, ended up deteriorating in the weather and got to the point we can no longer get them to open and close. These hooks are of a much stronger, higher quality metal and will probably last a lot longer than the original. Very happy with our purchase.

They seem like they'll be fine for what I need them for, appear to be of good quality, but haven't had them in service long.

Good, solid rings. It would help if the dimensions for the opening and the radius of the two rings was noted on the product description. These were just barely large enough to fill our need.
