3 Part Braided Wire Rope Slings

Braided slings help you lift high-capacity loads with ease. They offer higher rated capacities, resistance to rotation, and extra friction to grip a load, all of which help with crane lifting.

The 3 Part Braid

The 3 part braided sling has a 3 part braided body with a locked eye at each end. It's made from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIP) with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC), a strong core option for crane lifts. You can match it to your project with multiple diameter and length options, to get the rated capacity you need.

  • Diameters from 1/4" to 1-1/2"
  • Lengths from 2 to 20 feet

Hitch Types and Rated Capacity

A braided sling like this can be used in three ways, and the hitch affects rated capacity.

  • Vertical: offers a good rated capacity for many applications.
  • Choker hitch: conforms snugly to the load for better balance, but decreases rated capacity slightly.
  • Vertical basket hitch: gives the best rated capacity of the three.
