Crosby® Horizontal Clamps
Crosby® Horizontal Lifting Clamp Comparison
Five Crosby® horizontal clamp models cover different material types and lifting scenarios, from general-purpose lifting to specialized shape-turning applications. Here's how they compare.
IPH10: The Standard
The Crosby® IPH10 uses a pretension feature to attach securely to material for horizontal lifting and transfer of non-sagging loads. Max jaw opening is 4.75", with working load limits from 1/2 ton to 12 tons.
IPHNM10: Non-Marring Surface
The Crosby® IPHNM10 shares the IPH10's core function, but adds a protective surface that keeps vulnerable material from scratching or denting during a lift. That protective jaw surface comes with a trade-off: max jaw opening drops to 2.38", and working load limits run 1/2 ton to 2 tons.
IPHOZ: For Sagging or Bending Sheets
The Crosby® IPHOZ is built for thin sheets of material that may sag or bend once lifted, a scenario the IPH10 and IPHNM10 aren't designed to handle. Jaw opening reaches 2.38", with working load limits from 3/4 ton to 15 tons.
IPBC: Versatile Handling and Beam Turning
The Crosby® IPBC handles both sagging and non-sagging material horizontally, and extends further into specialized work: handling material bound for shears, bending, and rolling machines, and turning a beam from the "H" position into the "I" position. Jaw opening is 0 to 0.75", with a working load limit of 1 ton.
IPHGZ: Structural Shapes
The Crosby® IPHGZ covers sagging and non-sagging material, fabrication equipment stock, and moving or lifting structural shapes like I-beams and H-beams. Both the fixed and universal lifting eye versions share a 1" jaw opening, with working load limits from 3/4 ton to 4-1/2 tons.
