3-Leg Wire Rope Sling
3-Leg Wire Rope Bridle Slings
3-leg wire rope slings provide three lifting points to help distribute the load and improve stability during lifting. This configuration is well suited for loads with multiple attachment points or applications where better balance and control are needed.
For different lifting configurations, Fasteners Plus also offers 2-leg wire rope slings and 4-leg wire rope slings.
Construction and Features
- EIPS IWRC Wire Rope: Constructed from Extra Improved Plowed Steel with an Independent Wire Rope Core for strength and resistance to crushing.
- Wire Rope Construction: Diameters of 1" or less generally use 6x19 wire rope, while larger diameters typically use 6x36 construction.
- Flemish Eye Splicing: Each sling leg uses a Flemish eye with a protective thimble to help reduce wear at the connection point.
- Latched Eye Hooks: Lower hooks provide convenient connections to compatible lifting points.
- Identification: Each sling is inspected, certified, and supplied with a metal tag displaying capacity, care, and operating information.
- Compliance: Meets or exceeds applicable ASME B30.9 and OSHA 1910.184 requirements.
- Proof Testing: Proof-test certificates are available for a nominal fee when requested at the time of order.

How to Measure Sling Length
For a multi-leg wire rope sling, measure each leg from the load-bearing point of the oblong master link to the load-bearing point of the lower hook or eye. Do not include the full length of the master link in the sling reach measurement.
