Each SDWS screw features a double barrier coating that is equivalent to hot dip galvanization, making them suitable for some exterior and preservative treated wood applications.

Simpson vs GRK

I find the larger diameter head and the cost savings has me switched over from GRK's RSS series to the Simpson. It also seems to be easier finding larger quantities. Both are great products but the above mentioned items put the Simpson ahead for me.
