Description

This 2" x 50' strap in olive drab pairs heavy-duty webbing with a ratchet take-up system, giving you the mechanical advantage to secure loads that hand-tightening alone can't match. End hardware is hardware built for fast, repeated hookup and release in the field.

Key Features

  • Heavyweight polyester webbing woven with more picks per inch than typical straps on the market, for a webbing that resists abrasion, tearing, and cutting
  • Heat-sealed webbing ends that resist fraying so the strap keeps its finished edge over years of use
  • Corrosion-resistant zinc-plated hardware built for outdoor and roadside use
  • Tagged and stenciled with break strength and working load limit information to support compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, CVSA and WSTDA guidelines, and North American cargo securement standards

Applications

  • Landscaping, construction, and job-site equipment transport
  • Everyday towing and utility trailer use
  • Securing lumber, pipe, and other bundled materials
  • Moving and general hauling with pickup trucks and trailers

Installation

Route the fixed end of the strap around or through the anchor points on your load, then thread the loose end through the ratchet and take up the slack by hand. Crank the ratchet handle to bring the strap to a snug, even tension, then fold the handle down to lock it in place. Always follow the strap's tagged working load limit and any manufacturer instructions for your specific ratchet mechanism, and check tension periodically during transport.

Ratchet Strap w/ flat hooks

We buy these in different colours so that specific length straps are easily identified by our crew without the need to mark the strap or buckles. We buy straps in colour, then cut the strap tails to our required length before heat sealing the cut edge w/ a hot-knife to prevent fraying or unraveling. When we have a load ready to go, we can pull the straps out of storage by colour and know we have the perfect length for the job. This saves time in that you're not reeving a 27' strap through when your solour coded perfect length is in ready-to-go and quickly picked. Not having huge amounts of excess 'tail' means a cleaner load. It just works better for our operations.

Decent overall quality for this item and a good value for the dollar spent.
