Domestic 3/8" 6x37 Bright Wire Rope - EIPS IWRC
This USA-made 3/8" bright wire rope is manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a flexible 6x36 construction with an Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC). Designed for applications that require repeated bending and dynamic loading, it delivers outstanding fatigue resistance, load stability, and long-term performance for lifting, hoisting, winching, and suspension systems.
Colored strands may appear in some domestic wire ropes for manufacturer ID or visibility purposes; these color variations do not affect assembly break strength.
Flexible Wire Rope for Hoisting, Winch Lines & Dynamic Rigging Applications
The 6x37 class is engineered for superior flexibility and fatigue resistance when compared to 6x19 wire rope. Its higher wire count allows the rope to bend more easily and withstand repeated movement without sacrificing strength. The bright steel finish is treated with a petroleum-based lubricant that helps reduce internal friction and provides basic moisture protection. Manufactured to meet RR-W-410 and ASTM A1023 standards, this wire rope is built for dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
6x37 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is made using EIPS-grade cable. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) refers to the strength of the wire rope. Its tensile strength is approximately 10% greater than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved break strength and overall performance.
The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating six outer strands and approximately 27-49 wires within each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x36, providing excellent flexibility and fatigue resistance for high-cycle applications.
