5/8" x 16' Mechanical Splice Grommet Wire Rope Sling
Specifications
Picture a sling with no beginning or end: that's this 5/8-inch Mechanical Splice Grommet Wire Rope Sling, a single loop of wire rope closed with a mechanical or swaged splice. Crews reach for this style when a job's hitch points don't line up with a standard two-eye sling.
Key Features
- Closed-loop, 5/8-inch wire rope construction
- Mechanical or swaged splice joins the loop rather than forming separate eyes
- Choke or basket hitches can be set anywhere along the loop
- Length is read end-to-end at the bearing points, not around the loop
Applications
- Jobs where a fixed-eye sling's length or shape doesn't line up with the rigging
- Choker and basket hitch setups needing a flexible connection point
- Pairing with braided wire rope or chain slings already on the job
- Our product specialists can walk through whether this style fits your application
