The flat head with nibs under the head allow the screw to self-countersink and sit flush in the wood. The deep threads provide maximum holding power in softwoods and hardwoods. A type 17 point eliminates pre-drilling and cuts into the wood for faster and easier installation when compared to traditional sharp points. These screws work great in most woods, including hardwoods and plywoods.
