This 9/16" bright steel wire rope is manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS) and features a 6x37 class construction designed for maximum flexibility and fatigue resistance. Commonly used in hoisting systems, suspension cables, winch lines, and other dynamic lifting applications, this wire rope performs exceptionally well where repeated bending and movement are required.

The 6x37 class is a popular choice for applications that demand flexibility and long service life under repeated bending. Compared to 6x19 wire rope, the 6x37 construction offers greater flexibility and improved fatigue resistance, allowing it to bend repeatedly over sheaves and drums with less wear. While it provides less abrasion resistance than 6x19 constructions, it excels in dynamic operating environments.

6x37 Wire Rope Configuration

Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade steel. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) provides approximately 10% greater tensile strength than standard IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in improved breaking strength and dependable performance under load.

The class of this wire rope is 6x37. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, consisting of six outer strands surrounding the core, with approximately 27-49 wires making up each strand. The actual construction supplied is 6x36. If you require a different construction, please contact our team.

Bright Finish & IWRC Construction

This wire rope features a bright steel finish protected by an A-1 petroleum-based lubricant applied to both internal and external wires. The lubricant helps reduce internal friction, minimize wear, and provide basic resistance against moisture and corrosion.

The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) offers greater support than fiber core alternatives. IWRC construction improves crushing resistance, enhances load stability, and performs reliably in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 400°F.

Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.

Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.

Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
