The HGUM7.25XSS is a heavy-duty face-mount hanger designed for hanging glulam and solid sawn timber beams onto concrete or masonry. This hanger installs into the wood member with Strong-Drive SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws and into the masonry with Titen HD anchors. The HGUM is available in skews up to 45° or with one flange concealed for end-of-wall or corner installation.

Installation:

  • Use all specified fasteners (included).
  • Some products available in stainless steel, please inquire when contacting us.
  • Attach hanger to a concrete or grout-filled CMU wall using Titen HD anchors. Note the following:
    — Drill holes using drill bits equal in diameter to the specified Titen HD anchor.
    — Holes shall be drilled 1/2" deeper than the specified Titen HD length (e.g., 5 1/2" for a 5"-long Titen HD anchor).
    — Caution: Oversized holes in the base material will reduce or eliminate the mechanical interlock of the threads with the base material and will reduce the anchor's load capacity.
  • The carbon-steel Titen HD is not recommended for exposed exterior applications.

NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
