This 3/8" 19x7 rotation-resistant wire rope is engineered to minimize rope rotation while under load, making it an excellent choice for hoisting unguided loads with single-part line systems. Manufactured from Extra Improved Plow Steel (EIPS), this wire rope combines high strength, flexibility, and superior rotation resistance for demanding lifting and rigging applications.
Rotation-Resistant Wire Rope for Hoisting & Lifting Applications
The 19x7 construction is specifically designed to reduce load spin during lifting operations. Inner strands are laid in the opposite direction of the outer strands, allowing them to counteract rotational forces generated under load. With more than 10 outer strands, this rope is classified as a Category 2 Rotation-Resistant Rope, providing significant resistance to rotation and improved load control compared to Category 3 options.
19x7 Wire Rope Configuration
Our wire rope is manufactured using EIPS-grade steel. EIPS (Extra Improved Plow Steel) offers approximately 10% greater tensile strength than IPS-grade wire rope, resulting in higher breaking strength and dependable performance in heavy-duty applications.
The class of this wire rope is 19x7. These numbers nominally refer to the rope construction, indicating 19 outer strands surrounding the core and approximately 3-14 wires within each strand. This design provides an excellent balance of flexibility and rotation resistance.
Finish & Core
This wire rope features a bright steel finish protected by an A-1 petroleum-based lubricant. The lubricant is applied to both internal and external wires to reduce friction, minimize wear, and provide basic resistance to moisture and corrosion.
The Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC) delivers enhanced support and stability compared to fiber core alternatives. IWRC construction improves crushing resistance, maintains rope integrity under load, and performs in temperatures ranging from -40°F (-40°C) to 400°F (204°C).

Will my wire rope arrive as one continuous length?
Yes. The quantity you order will be supplied as one continuous, uncut length of wire rope. For example, if you order a quantity of 1,000, you will receive a single 1,000-foot length.
Can I order multiple separate lengths?
Yes. To receive multiple lengths, add each length to your cart as a separate line item. For example, if you need two 1,500-foot lengths, enter a quantity of 1,500 and add it to your cart twice. Each line item will be cut and supplied as a separate length.
Can I order lengths shorter than the minimum order quantity if the combined total exceeds the minimum?
Yes. If your combined order will exceed the minimum quantity requirement but you need shorter individual lengths, please call our team to place your order. One of our product experts will be happy to assist.
