Type 304 stainless steel proof coil chain is a general-purpose Grade 30 chain built for light-to-medium duty work, with the added corrosion resistance of stainless steel. It resists rust and oxidation in everyday outdoor and wet conditions, but it's not the right choice for extreme, chloride-heavy environments like saltwater. Grade 30 proof coil chain links are embossed with 3, 30, or 300, and sometimes marked L3, to identify the grade.
