At 3 inches, this eye and eye twin path sling adds a sleeve at each end to form a connection point for hooks or shackles, rather than the continuous loop of the endless version. Like the rest of the Twin-Path® line, this eye and eye twin path sling, also known as a twin-path eye sling or twin path eye and eye sling, is stronger than a comparably sized wire rope or chain sling at only about 10% of the weight, easier for riggers to handle, and a good fit for fragile cargo since it's synthetic. This mid-range model carries a 15,000 lb. vertical capacity.
Key Features
- Sewn sleeve at each end forms a fixed eye for direct connection to hooks or shackles
- Built from two independent paths of K-Spec® core yarn under a protective outer jacket, giving backup protection since each path connects hook to load on its own
- Two layers of industrial-grade nylon make up the Covermax® jacket, with more than four times a polyester jacket's abrasion resistance
- Repairable if the jacket is damaged but the core yarns are unharmed
- Check-Fast® inspection system flags core yarn damage or overload at a glance
- Non-conductive, non-corrosive, water-resistant, UV-resistant, and load-conforming
- 1% elongation at rated capacity; load-tested to 200% of capacity; meets ASME B30.9 standards
- Temperature range -40°F (-40°C) to 180°F (82°C)
