Lifting Slings

High Performance Roundslings

High Performance Round Slings

High performance round slings solve a problem wire rope and chain can't: real strength without the bulk or the weight. Built from high-performance inner fibers wrapped in a protective outer jacket, they've become a go-to choice for rigging setups that need to move fast without sacrificing capacity.

Why Choose a High Performance Roundsling

There's more than one reason to reach for a high performance roundsling over a traditional wire rope or chain sling.

Lighter to Handle

Weight is the first thing riggers notice. Compared to a wire rope or polyester sling of similar strength, these slings are far lighter, which makes them easier to transport, install, and store. Fewer riggers are needed to manipulate the sling on the job, and the lighter weight cuts down on the injury risk that comes with muscling heavier gear into place.

Load-Conforming

Wire rope and chain can mark or damage a fragile or delicate load on contact. Synthetic high performance slings flex and conform to the load instead, so scratches and surface damage aren't part of the equation.

A Jacket You Can Repair

Most slings get pulled from service the moment they're damaged, full stop. High performance round slings are different: if the damage is limited to the outer jacket and the core fibers underneath are untouched, repair is often possible instead of an outright replacement. Call us to find out if your sling qualifies.

Types of High Performance Round Slings

Cover and jacket materials vary across our lineup, each suited to different applications, but every option shares strong UV and abrasion resistance as a baseline.

UHMPE Round Slings

Built from Ultra High Modulus Polyethylene with a double-layer polyester cover, UHMPE round slings stretch 75% less than a comparable polyester round sling, and won't rot, mildew, or corrode over time.

Twin-Path® Slings

Built with two independent core fiber paths, Twin-Path® slings use a Covermax® jacket rated at more than four times the abrasion resistance of a standard polyester cover. Available in endless and eye & eye styles, they're built for demanding jobs like bridge construction and wind turbine installation.

For high-heat environments, the Twin-Path® family also includes Sparkeater® slings, rated for temperatures up to 300°F (149°C) and well-suited to work like offshore petroleum applications and pyrotechnic display lifting.

Single-Path Slings

Single-Path slings carry over most of the Twin-Path® advantages in a smaller package. Running a single fiber path instead of two makes them lighter and easier to store, though it also means a lower lifting capacity than their Twin-Path® counterparts.

Sling Protection

ASME B30.9 (2021) 9-5.10.4(d) requires that "slings in contact with edges, corners, protrusions, or abrasive surfaces shall be protected with a material of sufficient strength, thickness, and construction to prevent damage." Browse our sling protection lineup to keep your high performance roundsling protected during every lift.
