Notice - This connector is designed for Rough Cut lumber NOT nominal lumber (most common). This will only fit a post that measures an actual 8x8". If you have a nominal post measuring 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" you will need an APB88 Ornamental Post base

Simpson product... quality, construction, material and finish meet or exceed expectations following review of exceedingly complete description and specification provided in listing, with extensive technical attachments provided. Cost for materials was less than quote from reputable local retail dealer and included no inbound freight charges with a reasonable minimum order. Delivery took three days, far less than that quoted from local supplier at an additional charge. Never left the house, this was a "no brainer"...happy deck builder.
Looks great just that perfect added touch for these Cypress posts
They aren't made for actual 10x10 and are different sizes on two sides. Had to trim down our beautiful cedar posts to fit
Too wide for treated pine 6x6 posts. They are in and look great but bent inward due to the 1/2 extra spacing. Customer did not want the recommended rough 6x6 cedar theses would fit perfectly.
