The Simpson CB88RHDG 8x8 Rough Column Base - Hot Dip Galvanized enhances the strength and stability of your construction projects. Crafted from durable heavy-gauge steel, this column base is designed to connect columns or posts to concrete foundations.

These connectors are cast-in-place or wet-set in concrete, sit flush with the concrete for full post bearing, and is ideal for columns that require high structural values and long-lasting performance.

This product is intended for use with 8x8 posts or columns but is also available in a wide range of other sizes and both nominal and rough-cut lumber.

-Use all specified fasteners.
-For full loads, minimum side cover required is 3" for CB, 2" for LCB.
-Install all models with bottom of base plate flush with concrete.
-Post bases do not provide adequate resistance to prevent members from rotating about the base and therefore are not recommended for non top-supported installations (such as fences or unbraced carports).
