The Simpson RC Ripper Clip is designed to connect ripped 2x framing to the top of another wood joist by attaching RC to the ripper then attaching ripper or RC assembly to the roof joist. Note that the permissible loads only apply to the DF ripper members; the designer must, if necessary, take into account the system's need for blocking or stability.
NOTE: The correct fasteners installed in the correct position must be used to achieve published load values
