Simpson Strong-Tie PCZ & EPCZ Post Caps are specifically designed to be user-friendly, by aligning the post flanges and the beam flanges, meaning that each piece can accommodate posts of several different sizes. The Simpson PCZ is ideal for a standard post cap application, while the Simpson EPCZ is perfect for end-cap installation. For best results, combine with 10d common nails, or #9 x 1-1/2" Simpson SD Connector Screws. Each PCZ and EPCZ Post Cap is made with 16 Gauge steel, and comes with Simpson's patented ZMAX finish, providing excellent corrosion resistance, suitable for outdoor environments.
