Description

7/16" 1x7 Guy Wire for Towers

This 7/16" 1x7 guy wire is manufactured from Extra High Strength (EHS) galvanized steel and is designed for tensioning, bracing, and structural stabilization applications. With minimal stretch and limited flexibility, this guy strand provides the strength and rigidity needed to support antennas, communication towers, utility poles, and other freestanding structures exposed to wind and environmental loads.

High-Strength Guy Wire for Tower Bracing & Structural Support

The 1x7 construction is the stiffest guy wire configuration available, making it ideal for applications where maintaining tension and structural stability is critical. Its rigid design minimizes elongation under load, helping keep towers, masts, and support structures properly aligned over time.

A galvanized finish provides long-term protection against corrosion and weather exposure, making this cable suitable for outdoor installations in a variety of environments.

1x7 Guy Strand Configuration

This guy wire is manufactured using EHS-grade (Extra High Strength) steel. EHS wire provides approximately 40% greater tensile strength than standard HS-grade wire, delivering enhanced load capacity and long-term performance in demanding structural applications.

The class of this cable is 1x7. The designation refers to a single strand composed of seven individual wires twisted together, creating a strong, stable cable with minimal flexibility and excellent tensioning characteristics.

Galvanized Finish

The galvanized coating helps protect the steel against rust and corrosion, extending service life in outdoor environments. This protective finish makes the cable well-suited for utility, telecommunications, agricultural, and infrastructure applications where long-term exposure to the elements is expected.

Key Features

  • EHS-grade steel provides approximately 40% greater tensile strength than HS-grade wire
  • 1x7 construction delivers maximum rigidity with minimal stretch
  • Galvanized finish offers long-lasting corrosion resistance for outdoor use
  • Ideal for guying towers, antennas, utility poles, and freestanding structures
  • Excellent tension retention and structural stabilization performance
  • Stiffer than 1x19 guy wire constructions
  • Designed for bracing and support applications rather than lifting operations
  • Meets ASTM A475-03 requirements
  • Certificate of Conformity available upon request
