1/4" x 4' Standard Eye & Hook Wire Rope Sling
Specifications
Rated capacities for basket hitch based on a D/d ratio of 25
3/4 ton carbon steel hook
This 0.65-ton, 1/4-inch Standard Eye & Hook Wire Rope Sling pairs a formed eye on one end with a latched hook on the other, giving crews a quick-connect option for a wide range of attachment points. A single-leg wire rope sling like this is often more cost-efficient than a chain sling, and more durable and heat-tolerant than many synthetic slings, while staying simpler to rig than a multi-leg sling.
Key Features
- Latched eye hook fits a wide variety of attachment points and helps prevent accidental disconnection
- Hook is marked with its working load limit for easy reference on the job
- Carbon steel hook construction for a strong, economical connection point
- Eye formed with a mechanical splice Flemish eye and thimble, offering higher capacity than a hand-tucked eye
- Made from EIPS-grade (Extra Improved Plow Steel) IWRC bright steel wire rope, typically a 6x19 classification
- Rated for -40°F / -40°C to 400°F / 204°C and built to meet or exceed ASME B30.9 and OSHA 1910.184 standards
Applications
- Single-leg lifts where a quick-connect hook end speeds up rigging
- Jobs in tight spaces that benefit from a simpler setup than a multi-leg sling
- A wide range of hitch angles and attachment points
- Pairs well with shackles, rigging hooks, and wire rope sling protection; ask about our 2-, 3-, or 4-leg bridle slings if your lift needs more stability
