Endless Single-Path High Performance Roundslings
When a job calls for something lighter than steel but still built to last, Single-Path slings fill that gap. A single path of K-Spec® load-bearing core yarn does the heavy lifting, wrapped in a Covermax® jacket built from a double layer of industrial-strength nylon that holds up to more than four times the abrasion resistance of a polyester jacket. That combination is what lets these slings perform in demanding environments without the weight of a comparable steel option.
Why Riggers Choose Single-Path Over Wire Rope, Chain, or Nylon
Weight is the standout reason. A Single-Path sling comes in at less than 10% the weight of a steel sling with comparable strength, which makes it easier to carry, position, and rig by hand, and cuts down on the injury risk that comes with muscling heavier gear into place. A few other traits round out the case for it:
- Non-conductive, non-corrosive, water-resistant, and UV-resistant
- Just 1% elongation at rated capacity
- Load-conforming, which makes it a strong fit for fragile cargo
There's also a cost angle worth knowing about: if damage is limited to the jacket and hasn't reached the inner fibers, repair is often possible, which costs a lot less than replacing the sling outright.
Check-Fast® Makes Inspection Easier
Regular inspection by a qualified person is non-negotiable for workplace safety, and Check-Fast® gives that person an easier way to catch damage. The system runs an independent fiber path with a built-in weak link engineered to fail above proof load but before the sling hits its maximum capacity. When that link gives way, it pulls a visual indicator into the sling's jacket, flagging the sling for you.
No visual indicator visible? Take the sling out of service and reach out about sending it to the manufacturer for possible repair. Note: Check-Fast® supplements a standard inspection, it doesn't replace one.
Protecting Your Sling and Its Temperature Range
ASME B30.9 (2021) 9-5.10.4(d) requires protection anywhere a sling contacts an edge, corner, protrusion, or abrasive surface, using material strong and thick enough to prevent damage. Our sling protection lineup, including CornerMax® cut-resistant sleeves, covers that requirement and can be slipped over an endless sling to form an eye at each end.
Single-Path slings are rated for use between -40°F (-40°C) and 180°F (82°C). Running hotter than that? Our Sparkeater® slings handle up to 300°F (149°C).
