CornerMax® Cut-Resistant Sling Protector Sleeves

Synthetic slings need real protection at the edges, corners, and curves they contact during a lift, and CornerMax® sleeves are built to flex with the load instead of just sitting rigid against it.

Made from high-tech Dyneema® fiber, these sleeves are highly cut-resistant, though not cut-proof, and have been tested in both lab and field conditions. Because they conform to the load, they still protect your sling even on round or curved surfaces where a full 90-degree corner contact isn't possible.

CornerMax® sleeves are not intended for use with wire rope or chain slings.

CornerMax® Sleeve Protection Rating

Every CornerMax® sleeve carries a protection rating of 25,000 lbs. per inch of sling contact, provided you get full 90-degree contact on two separate surfaces (12,500 lbs. per inch at each individual contact point).

To find your protection rating, multiply your sling's width in inches by 25,000 lbs. A 4" strap, for example, comes out to a 100,000 lb. rating.

Sleeve Inspections

Beyond your standard pre-use inspection, check for visible red yarn in the CornerMax® sleeve before each use. If the red yarn is showing, retire the sleeve immediately.

Sling Compatibility

CornerMax® on Round Slings

Round sling designs vary enough that there's no single rule for which sleeve fits which sling size. Instead, measure your round sling and confirm it fits within the inside circumference listed above.

The sleeve works by taking the entire sling inside it, forming an eye at each end. That means when you measure your sling, you're measuring the circumference of both sides together, not just one side.
