A round sling is only as durable as the surface it's dragged across during a lift. Protecting it at contact points isn't optional under code, either:
"Slings in contact with edges, corners, protrusions, or abrasive surfaces shall be protected with a material of sufficient strength, thickness, and construction to prevent damage." - ASME B30.9 (2021) 9-5.10.4(d)
CornerMax
CornerMax® sleeves are cut-resistant, not cut-proof, but they offer a higher level of protection than most other sling protection styles. Built from high-tech Dyneema® fiber, they conform to curved loads instead of sitting rigid against them.

CornerMax on Round Slings
Round sling designs vary enough that there's no single rule for which sleeve fits which sling size. Instead, measure your round sling and confirm it fits within the inside circumference listed above.
The sleeve works by taking the entire sling inside it, forming an eye at each end. That means when you measure your sling, you're measuring the circumference of both sides together, not just one side.
Tubular Sleeves
Tubular sleeves secure around your round sling with Velcro® and let you shift the point of contact between applications, which helps the sleeve last longer over repeated use.

Sewn Sleeves
Sewn sleeve protection is the pick for long-term use on one round sling. Both sides of the sleeve are sewn together, which keeps it securely in place but makes it harder to remove.

LiftGuard
LiftGuard® sleeves attach directly to your load using slightly recessed magnets. The medium-duty and grooved styles work best with synthetic slings, and can be used occasionally with chain or wire rope slings on light loads.
